There are mainly two types of treatment procedures for hemorrhoids. These are the surgical and the non surgical ones. The non surgical ones aim at reducing the blood supply to the nerves which have swollen, in order to let them shrink, and prevent more from growing. One method is the fixative method that involves tying a rubber band on the hemorrhoids, and creating scar tissues by current, or heat. The surgical method for hemorrhoid treatment includes hemorrhoidectomy, which is a way to cure the large sized hemorrhoids. This method is only used when all methods have failed to work and bleeding does not stop. It is also possible that the surgeon uses a mixture of two or more methods to treat the hemorrhoids, especially in cases when they get severe. That is why it is said to treat it at an early stage and not delay it, as delaying it can add to more problems.
